Byzantine is one of the oldest chainmaille designs in history, thought to date back to 300 BC. This necklace was entirely handmade, starting as a straight piece of wire. The wire is coiled around a mandrel and sawed into individual rings that are woven together. Strong enough for daily wear, this piece is also stunning to wear for special occasions.
